French banks downgraded

French banks downgraded overnight and concerns of the European economic crisis remains in the forefront while already included in the current market scenario. Still the way the European public reacts may have adverse effects. Bank withdrawals may exacerbate the crisis. But Meanwhile this morning in the USA, retail sales came out worse but PPI came out lower leaving a mixed signal in terms of direction. Still gold is feeling downward pressure on lack of inflationary indicators and the rest of the group has followed. Looks like we may be trading range bound as it is starting to tighten up. The Gold/Platinum spread is seeing lots of activity and Pt is in the green at the moment. But the Gold specifically remains a bull market over the long term and the rest of the group also benefits from the safe haven buying.
